DRÔLES DE TRAMES ! • Le Fresnoy Exhibition Dismantling Coordinator

The exhibition "Drôles de Trames! proposes a connection (or this false-connection), which is dear to us between traditional media of the artistic expression and media of the most contemporary technologies. The word "weft" first evokes the textile, whose industry has so strongly marked the identity of the Nord-Pas de Calais Region. The weft as a writing method borrowing from the innumerable diversity of materials, has the power to bring together artists and to cross their practice. The gesture of weaving allows to bring together artists whith varied practices or generational differences.
